Driverless transport systems Porsche joins serva transport systems

| Editor: Nicole Kareta

Porsche takes over the business operations of the Rosenheim (Germany) technology start-up serva transport systems GmbH. As a supplier of driverless transport systems, serva supports companies in the automation of their logistics processes - with transport robots and intelligent software.

Porsche has been working together with serva for the automated logistical supply of the assembly since the start of the production of the fully electric Taycan. The company had got into financial difficulties in the course of the corona pandemic. In order to maintain business operations and secure jobs locally in Rosenheim, Porsche decided to transfer the company's business operations and employees to its investment and participation structure (Porsche Ventures).

Among other things, the final takeover is still subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities.
